Steve Anton is consistently ranked among the top producing Realtors in Houston, with a sales volume that places him in the top 2 percent of all brokers. He has sold or leased more than 1,000 homes and his sales volume in several Med Center neighborhoods is legendary.

As a native Houstonian, Steve has an extensive knowledge of Houston neighborhoods, as well as the subtle and unique personalities that characterize them. That wealth of knowledge is critical in shaping a marketing strategy uniquely suited to each home he lists for sale. And that skill provides an extra punch when Steve negotiates on behalf of his clients.

Steve is a fourth generation Texan. He spent many hours working at his family´s small grocery store downtown and helping his dad with several rental properties he owned. He attended Spring Woods High School and later graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. During college, Steve bought his first house, a large place near the UT-Austin campus which he rented to several classmates. He sold it three years later and the profit covered 4 year's of tuition. 
 

Steve´s real estate career began in the tough days of Houston's oil and real estate collapse in the mid-1980s. It was a challenging economy but it provided great opportunity to learn how to market homes in a city where few buyers existed. He searched hundreds of vacant and foreclosed homes to find clean, sound investments. Then he advertised to investors in other parts of the country where cash was still available. Those sales created a need for a property management business, and many of those original buyers are still Steve´s customers. The lessons he learned during those tough years are put to work each day, finding new and creative ways to make ordinary homes stand out and compete with the extraordinary ones.

 

As the Houston economy steadily improved, Steve focused his attention on the booming Inner Loop neighborhoods surrounding the Texas Medical Center including Braeswood Place, West University Place, Bellaire, Southside, Knollwood Village, Braes Terrace, Braes Manor, Westridge, Westwood, Linkwood, Woodside and Woodshire. It was the right decision. These areas have shown a remarkable growth in value over the last 20 years, doubling and tripling in value.

  

Steve is married to Donna, and they have three teenagers. All of their children were homeschooled for several years, and they now attend schools near their home in Braeswood Place. The family worships at Christ the King Presbyterian Church.
